Isn't the bay beautiful? Its beauty has inspired me to write my upcoming novel, 'Spirits of the Bay.'
This may sound like a story about nature, birds, wildlife, sunsets...well, in a way it is, but it is all encompassed in a fantastic journey by a few rugged - and sometimes eccentric - characters through the Eastern Shore of Maryland well before the mish-mash of insanity we now live in.
Think of your everyday lives and stresses; they are so different from the lives and stresses of the 17th century. Now, think of Cassandra Pratt, a wealthy, spoiled, modern day Baltimore heiress who is mysteriously thrown back into the early Chesapeake in 1644! Her life of luxury and a'plenty, is now filled with a nearly untouched wilderness full of Native American tribes, (sometimes friendly, sometimes not), and a necessity to dig up any sense of survival instincts she can muster. Not only must she survive the wilderness, but also the fiery, red-headed gutter wench who has been removed to the new world for crimes of thievery and prostitution, and who is (unbeknownst to our time traveler) a direct ancestor!
Throw in a paranormal romance with a 17th century privateer, along with a cast of sometimes heart-warming and sometimes dangerous characters, and you hold in your hands an adventure you don't want to miss!
Keep your eye out for 'Spirits of the Bay,' coming this fall to a paperback or e-ready near you!
